Product Description

Hookclean is a heavy‑duty alkaline cleaner and rust remover designed for cleaning and derusting meat hooks, rollers, slides, and gambrels. It removes animal fat, grease, and rust through a hot‑tank process and is approved for use in meat‑processing environments.

Application

Procedure 1 – Hooks in good condition or small throughput

1. Use Hookclean at 100 g/L of water heated to 82–87°C.
2. Perform a hot overflow rinse.
3. Immerse in Hookdip dewatering inhibitor.

Procedure 2 – Hooks in reasonable condition or high throughput

1. Pre‑clean with Hookclean at 25 g/L at 82–87°C.
2. Pre‑clean again with Hookclean at 100 g/L at the same temperature.
3. Hot overflow rinse.
4. Immerse in Hookdip.

Procedure 3 – Brighter finish required

• Include a tank of Hookbrite at 1:40 dilution prior to using Hookdip.

Safety Notes

• Contains caustic soda — avoid skin contact.
• Wear protective clothing.
• Always add Hookclean to cold water first, then heat.
• Never add to hot water.
