Description

ALKAFOAM is a blend of concentrated synthetic detergents formulated specifically for food industry packing plants for the solubilisation and removal of soils, greases, animal and poultry fats, and vegetable oils. Pale red in colour, ALKAFOAM has no objectionable odour.

Fast, foamy, soil grease and oil release action: ALKAFOAM is a blend of extremely heavy duty synthetic detergents, foam builders and a special booster for excellent hard water tolerance. When applied with a Foam Gun, ALKAFOAM produces thick, alkaline foam which has extraordinary wetting and grease lifting / detergent ability.

Most ordinary cleaners can emulsify greases and fats, but ALKAFOAM has a unique lifting action that actually brings the soils to the surface allowing them to be rinsed away. Animal fats, grease, blood and food soils roll away! ALAKAFOAM leaves no insoluble residues on quarry tile and other cleaned surfaces.

Formulated with environmental needs in mind: Phosphate free. Biodegradable. ALKAFOAM contains no ingredients known to harm the environment.

User friendly

No butyl solvent. No perfume. Non flammable. ALKAFOAM has no VOC’s (Volatile Organic Compounds). No fumes or unpleasant odours, even when used with very hot water.

Surface safe

Safe for use on all hard surfaces not harmed by water. ALKAFOAM will not harm glass — will not remove paint or decals. A corrosion inhibitor in ALKAFOAM protects metal. Safe to use on aluminium at concentrations, up to two parts of water to one part of ALKAFOAM.

Versatile

ALKAFOAM works well in hot or cool cleaning conditions, the blend of alkalinity, surfactant and solubilisers has been formulated with due consideration of temperature and CMC (Critical Micelle Concentration) and so, is active from ambient temperatures in hard or soft water, temperature will of course always assist, particularly with greasy soils. Use at lower temperature may need consideration of contact time and optimised agitation. A special “booster” ingredient in ALKAFOAM neutralizes even very hard water.

Economical

Used at the recommended 1:20 dilution, ALKAFOAM is economical and competitively priced. In fact, controlled comparative testing shows ALKAFOAM offers superior cleaning ability to several higher priced products.

ALKAFOAM is packaged in 1000Ltr IBC; recyclable HDPE (High Density Polyethylene) 200L, 25Ltr drums.

Application

The foaming nature of ALKAFOAM gives unique opportunities to maximise detergent contact time in some unique situations as well as more traditional foam on applications. For example:

Meatroom Daily Cleaning And Degreasing With Foam Gun:

1. Check floor drain and clear of debris.
2. Remove or cover all food.
3. Manually pick up or scrape away heavy soils from surfaces and equipment. For large areas, use high pressure sprayer hot water to assist with removal of greasy / oil soils.
4. Fill Foam Gun bottle. Insert tan metering tip to provide 1:20 dilution (500ml / 10L). Screw on lid and attach nozzle. Connect Foam Gun to hot water hose.
5. Foam ALKAFOAM onto all washable surfaces and let set for 5 minutes. Agitate as necessary. Do not allow foam to dry.
6. Rinse thoroughly using hot water and high pressure sprayer or garden hose.
7. Let surfaces air dry. Tilt tables and other movable equipment to remove excess water. Do not wipe dry.

General cleaning of floors, walls and other surfaces

Mix one-part ALKAFOAM with 20 parts hot water (500ml / 10L.). Either foam onto floor or apply to surface using mop, sprayer, sponge or cloth. Agitate with abrasive pad or brush to remove heavy accumulations of vegetable oil, animal fat and grease. Thoroughly rinse cleaned surface.

To clean utensils, filters, equipment parts

Mix one-part ALKAFOAM with 20 parts hot water and soak in bucket or sink. Scrub with abrasive pad, brush or sponge if necessary. Rinse thoroughly.

System testing

A simple drop test titration kit is available for testing the in-use concentrations of ALKAFOAM.
