Food Surface Sanitation
Description
Product Description:
CIDAL is a refined quaternary ammonium based sanitiser formulated for use in food and beverage processing plants, commercial kitchens, healthcare environments and general hygiene applications.
The product contains ten percent active benzalkonium chloride and provides broad spectrum antimicrobial activity against Gram positive bacteria, Gram negative bacteria, yeasts and moulds when used at recommended dilutions. CIDAL is odourless and non toxic at use dilution, making it suitable for routine hygiene and odour control where bacterial decomposition is present.
CIDAL utilises a selected short chain quaternary compound that delivers superior disinfectant efficiency compared to conventional quaternary sanitisers. The formulation contains no phenols, iodine, mercury or heavy metals and is non corrosive to most common surfaces when used correctly.
While quaternary compounds are known to lose some activity in the presence of organic matter, the recommended use dilutions of CIDAL are formulated to adequately compensate for this reduction and maintain effective sanitising performance.

Application:
CIDAL is suitable for a wide range of sanitising and deodorising applications.
General surface sanitising
Dilute one part CIDAL to five hundred parts water. Apply by spraying, swabbing or soaking. Allow surfaces to air dry where possible.
Food and beverage processing equipment
Clean and rinse equipment prior to sanitising. Apply CIDAL by circulation, immersion or manual application.
-
Non porous surfaces such as metal, glass and plastics: Dilute one part to four hundred parts water
-
Porous surfaces: Dilute one part to two hundred parts water
Rinse with potable water only where required by site procedures.
Dairy equipment sanitising
After cleaning and rinsing, sanitise using a one to six hundred dilution by circulation or immersion.
Meat processing shrouds
After cleaning, add CIDAL at a dilution of one part to one thousand parts water to the final rinse to inhibit mould growth.
Mould and mildew control
Apply a one to four hundred dilution by spraying or swabbing walls, floors and affected areas.
Laundry hygiene rinse
Add two to ten millilitres of CIDAL per ten litres of water depending on fabric type and hygiene requirements. Use higher dilution rates for woollen items. Effective between thirty degrees Celsius and sixty degrees Celsius.
CIDAL is not effective against bacterial spores or Mycobacterium tuberculosis.
