Product Description

CAUSTIC KLEEN is a high alkaline, low foaming liquid detergent specifically formulated for the removal of proteinaceous soils from food and beverage processing and packaging equipment, as well as surrounding work areas.

Powered by sodium hydroxide, CAUSTIC KLEEN delivers heavy duty cleaning performance by saponifying fats, dissolving proteins and removing carbonised and greasy soils. It effectively breaks down food residues such as sugars, fats, proteins and salts, either individually or in combination, providing fast and reliable soil removal.

The formulation incorporates advanced surfactants and chelating agents that work synergistically with the caustic base to maximise cleaning efficiency while maintaining excellent rinse characteristics.

Application

CAUSTIC KLEEN should be diluted with potable water prior to use. Do not use on aluminium or other soft metals.

Clean In Place Systems

Dilute CAUSTIC KLEEN at one to three percent. Circulate through the system according to standard clean in place procedures. Rinse thoroughly with potable water after cleaning.

General Surface Cleaning

Dilute CAUSTIC KLEEN at one to three percent. Apply to floors, walls and equipment surfaces using suitable application equipment. Agitate if required, then rinse thoroughly with potable water.

Additional Uses

CAUSTIC KLEEN is suitable for use through foaming equipment, pressure spray units, soaking applications and manual cleaning operations. It is also effective for cleaning smokehouses and processing area floors and walls.

Food Safety Statement

The raw materials and ingredients of this product are permitted as processing aids under Clause Twelve of the Food Standards Australia New Zealand Food Standards Code One point Three point Three, are classified as Generally Regarded as Safe by the United States Food and Drug Administration, or are recognised under Title Twenty One of the United States Code of Federal Regulations as indirect food additives.

When used in accordance with the directions outlined in this technical bulletin, CAUSTIC KLEEN complies with recognised food safety parameters.
