CASTLE 888 is a food‑grade, high‑solids shellac‑based citrus coating designed to control moisture loss and provide a long‑lasting shine. It is ideal for packers who require a high‑gloss finish with reduced tack, particularly for fruit stored in accumulators. The coating also offers improved resistance to chalking and powdering during long‑term or overseas storage.

Application

CASTLE 888 is best applied using a Micron 2000 applicator.
Fruit must be completely dry before entering the waxing section.
Use 50/50 horsehair/poly brushes to achieve the best finish.
Clean fruit thoroughly before waxing to enhance shine.
Apply at a rate of 750 mL to 1 L per tonne of fruit.
