BALDY is a broad spectrum, chlorine releasing, low foaming detergent bactericide designed for the treatment of animal skin scald water in meat processing operations.

It is supplied as a white, dustless, free flowing powder with a uniform particle size that produces a clear solution when diluted. BALDY is mildly chlorinated, non residual and free rinsing.

The formulation assists in the effective removal of soil from animal skin, improves carcass appearance and supports efficient hair removal during processing. BALDY rinses cleanly from carcasses during slaughter wash stages, contributing to improved hygiene outcomes.

Application

BALDY should be dissolved in the scald water tank prior to use.

Dosage and Operating Conditions

• Add eighty to one hundred grams of BALDY per one hundred litres of make up water

• Maintain scald water temperature at sixty two degrees Celsius

• Ensure the product is completely dissolved before commencing operations
