Hot tank additive for improved paint and carbon removal – Add to Lab 727 and Lab 450 cleaning tanks.
Description
Product Description
Additive PM is a non flammable, non dangerous goods liquid additive designed to significantly enhance the performance of alkaline hot tank and spray washer degreaser systems.
Developed in response to industry demand, Additive PM provides a more efficient and economical method of boosting existing hot tank cleaners, with particular effectiveness in removing paint coatings. This has become increasingly important with the widespread use of two pack and highly resilient epoxy-based coatings.
Additive PM improves cleaning efficiency at reduced operating temperatures, helping lower energy consumption while maintaining excellent removal of paint, grease, oil and carbon deposits.
The product is a high boiling point, stable material with no obnoxious odour and can be safely handled under normal occupational health and safety practices.

Application
Additive PM is designed for use as an additive to alkaline cleaning solutions. Performance will vary depending on the base cleaner used, operating temperature, type of contamination and required cleaning time.
Based on field trials and pilot plant testing, typical addition rates range between three percent and ten percent by volume of the total tank solution.
Lower concentrations are suitable for light paint coatings and grease removal, while higher concentrations are recommended for heavy-duty applications involving two pack paints and severe carbon build-up.
Routine alkalinity testing should be used to determine when top-up additions are required in ongoing operations.
Performance Summary
Field and pilot trials have demonstrated that the use of Additive PM allows effective cleaning at temperatures approximately twenty to thirty degrees Celsius lower than traditional hot tank systems, while achieving faster and more complete soil removal.
