Product Description

Proto‑O is an oxygenated protein remover formulated with peroxide‑stable surfactants to improve the removal of heavy protein, fat, carbohydrate, and oil build‑ups in alkaline CIP systems. The product enhances the cleaning action of standard alkalis by softening baked‑on or dried‑on organic soils through peroxide activation. Proto‑O is low‑foaming, providing faster rinsing, reduced equipment blockage, and more efficient CIP performance. It is suitable for food‑processing environments and can replace chlorine‑based systems in many applications.

Application

General CIP Use

1. Prepare standard caustic solution (typically 1–2%) at 45°C or higher.
2. Circulate briefly to mix.
3. Add Proto‑O at 0.5% for routine cleaning or 2.5 L per 500 L (0.5%) for initial treatments.
4. Circulate for 30–45 minutes (up to 50 minutes with spray balls).
5. Rinse and neutralise/sanitise as usual.

Ongoing Use

• After initial restorative cleaning, Proto‑O levels may be reduced to 0.2% in subsequent washes.

Other Equipment

• For filtration systems, bag presses, and similar equipment, use Proto‑O at 0.5% of total cleaning volume.

Remedial Soak / Boil‑Out

• Dilute 0.5–2.0% depending on soil load.
• Heat to 45°C+ for better results.
• Circulate caustic first for 2 minutes, then add Proto‑O for the remainder of the cycle.

Safety Notes

• Avoid mixing with chemicals not listed on the label.
• Not recommended for aluminium or alloy surfaces.
• Wear recommended PPE.
