Description

Product Description

AQUAFLOC is a liquid formulation of cationic polyelectrolytes and inorganic salts designed for the clarification of industrial wastewater. It is particularly effective in dynamic systems such as car wash water holding tanks, settlement systems and other applications where rapid solids separation is required.

The product is supplied as an easy to handle, free flowing liquid that simplifies dilution, feeding and dosing operations. AQUAFLOC promotes rapid floc formation, allowing suspended solids to settle quickly and improving overall water clarity.

AQUAFLOC may be used as a standalone clarifier without the need for additional treatment chemicals, reducing system complexity and operating costs.

Product Benefits

  • Increases the settling rate of suspended solids

  • Assists hydrocarbon recovery from wastewater streams

  • Aids coagulation of suspended particles prior to flotation treatment

  • Improves clarification of oily and contaminated water

  • Eliminates the need for pH adjustment

  • Suitable for dynamic and continuous treatment systems

  • May be used without additional clarification chemicals

  • Easy to dilute and apply using standard dosing equipment

Application

AQUAFLOC should be metered continuously into the system using a corrosion resistant positive displacement pump.

Prior to dosing, dilute the product with clean water at a ratio between five parts water to one part product and fifty parts water to one part product, depending on system requirements.

For maximum efficiency, ensure immediate and thorough mixing of the diluted solution with the wastewater stream.

Points of Addition

The flocculant solution should be introduced as close as possible to the point where separation occurs, while still allowing sufficient contact time for effective floc formation.

Contact time requirements will vary depending on system design and operating conditions and should be determined through practical trials.

Proper mixing of the flocculant with the substrate is essential for optimal performance.

Treatment Levels

Typical use concentrations range from one to one hundred parts per million.

A simple jar test is recommended to determine the most effective dilution rate and treatment level for each application.
